ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø is proud to announce that our student, Aaron Palmer, is a finalist for the Association of Colleges (AoC) Apprentice of the Year Award 2023/24. Aaron is a Carpentry and Joinery apprentice, and he works for EE Smith Contracts Ltd, a high-end fit-out and joinery construction company.

The AoC Student of the Year Awards celebrates the exceptional achievements and dedication of students from over 200 colleges across the UK.
Aaron said: “I’m really proud of myself for being nominated. I’m hardworking and dedicated and I take a lot of pride in my work.â€
Chris Larkin, Aaron’s Carpentry Teacher who nominated him for the award said: “I am so proud of Aaron Palmer’s outstanding achievement and wish him the best of luck as he proceeds to the next phase of the judging process.â€
Enda Mulloy, Deputy Head of Construction said: “ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø is committed to creating the skilled construction professionals of our region.â€
The Apprentice of the Year winner will be revealed at the AoC Conference dinner on 14 November. The award winners in a variety of categories will be invited to attend an exclusive celebration event in London in Spring 2024.
