Enda Mulloy, Programme Lead for Construction Crafts at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø and acclaimed musician from the London-Irish band, The BibleCode Sundays, has launched his first solo Christmas single, “This Year for Christmas.” The festive ballad, steeped in Irish tradition and heartfelt nostalgia, is available to stream now.
In addition to working at Southall Community College, Enda is known for his musical talent and captivating storytelling. His latest track reflects the emotional pull of returning home for the holidays. Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Enda said, “Even though I love the energy of London, I always hear the call of home over Christmas, and this song tries to bottle that feeling,” adding, “Here’s hoping I can give that lesser-known Irish musician Bono a run for his money for the Christmas number one!â€
The accompanying music video features scenes from Enda’s hometown of Mulranny in County Mayo, Ireland, adding a personal and nostalgic touch and capturing the essence of the song’s theme. Enda, who emigrated to London in the 1990s, draws deeply from his personal experiences, expressing the joy of reuniting with loved ones for the first time in over a decade.
Balancing his career in education with his passion for music, Enda has had a very successful 2024, performing with Sting, and with The BibleCode Sundays at events such as the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Trafalgar Square.
