ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Celebrates T Levels Week

Last week, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø hosted an exciting and inspiring showcase event to recognise T Levels Week 2024, a national celebration of the new two-year Level 3 technical courses, started as an alternative to A Levels. Running from 2 December through to 6 December 2024, T Levels Week highlights how these programmes equip young people with the skills needed for thriving careers in a variety of industries.

At ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, students, staff, and prospective learners came together to explore the opportunities provided on our T Levels in Business, Digital, and Health and Social Care.

Students like Ateeyat shared how T Levels are transforming their education and career prospects. She explained: “I chose T Levels because it has two parts: the theory part and the practical part. I wanted to gain real-life skills. The course includes a work placement in a hospice where I shadow nurses, care assistants, and adult nursing carers. This allows me to learn essential communication skills, observe different departments, and see how they work together. It’s amazing to gain those employee skills first-hand.”

For Olivia, T Levels offered a unique and personal pathway into health and social care. She revealed: “When I was 14, I had brain surgery, and the care I received from nurses really inspired me. I wanted to give back and provide that same empathy and care to others. That experience shaped who I am and what I value in life, and T Levels are helping me turn that passion into a career.”

Another student, Mushtaq, shared how the program aligns with her future aspirations: “I have chosen T Levels because I am pursuing a career that allows me to undertake further education. This course is a great step toward achieving my goals.”

The T Levels Week event at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø was filled with engaging activities, giving prospective students a chance to explore the unique benefits of these programmes.

Speaking about the value of T Levels, Julie-Ann Claridge, Head of Care, Sports and Protective Services, who organised the event said: “We are proud to offer T Levels in Business, Digital, and Health, giving students a direct path to their dream careers. The combination of classroom learning and industry placement ensures our students are truly career-ready.”
