Building Brighter Futures – Celebrating National Careers Week & Colleges Week

ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø is gearing up for an exciting week ahead as it joins in the nationwide celebrations for both National Careers Week and the Association of Colleges’ Colleges Week, running from Monday 3 March to Friday 7 March 2025. The two key events offer an exceptional opportunity for students to explore careers and discuss future opportunities with employers, showing the impact of Further Education colleges on society and how we are essential in supporting the government’s five missions aimed at #BuildingBrighterFutures.

National Careers Week 2025 is an annual initiative dedicated to raising awareness about careers guidance and providing young people with essential resources to make informed decisions about their future pathways. As part of the week, the college will host a series of employer sessions, offering students valuable insights into various industries and career prospects. The goal is to inspire students and help them gain practical knowledge about sectors ranging from healthcare and IT to hospitality and entrepreneurship.

The theme of Colleges Week 2025 is focused on building brighter futures, with each day dedicated to one of the government’s five missions, which shape the future of education and society:

  • Kickstart the economy
  • Become a green energy superpower
  • Take back our streets
  • Break down barriers to opportunity
  • Build an NHS fit for the future

Throughout the week, students will have the chance to attend employer-led workshops, each providing unique insights into the diverse range of careers available. Key sessions include:
