ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, in partnership with the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC), has successfully delivered a five-day Drylining Programme as part of its continued commitment to providing high-quality vocational training that promotes local employment and social mobility.

Hosted at the bespoke construction and green skills centre at Southall Community College in April, the programme was part of the Construction Skills Training Service – a key initiative launched in February 2025 at the West London Retail Skills Hub. The service is designed to upskill local residents, address critical skills shortages within the construction industry, and enhance pathways into sustainable employment.
Eight participants from across West London took part in the course, referred by local council partners. The intensive programme offered a dynamic blend of theoretical and practical learning, providing participants with comprehensive training in:
All eight participants completed the course, and several have already expressed interest in further training and employment opportunities in drylining – a clear indicator of the programme’s positive impact on personal growth and career aspirations.
Praising the group, construction tutor Matt Morgan said: “The group showed dedication and commitment throughout the week. They were enthusiastic and determined to succeed and I look forward to hearing what about what they do next.â€
Daljit Bains, Director of Business Development at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, said: “This initiative highlights the powerful outcomes that can be achieved when educational institutions, local authorities, and development corporations work together. By offering accessible, industry-relevant training, we are helping individuals gain new skills, expand their opportunities, and take meaningful steps toward sustainable careers.â€
ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø is excited to continue its collaboration with OPDC and local councils to deliver impactful, inclusive training programmes that enrich lives and strengthen communities.
