Our Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery course is the perfect starting point for anyone interested in a career in the construction or woodworking industries.
The well-paid craft of carpentry is an occupation that dates back thousands of years. If you're a hands-on and creative person, this could be the ideal path for you. On this course, you’ll learn everything related to the trade - from creating joints using timber and mastering essential hand tools to constructing roofs, hanging doors, and developing the full range of timber craft skills needed to succeed in the industry.
This practical course introduces the core techniques used in both site carpentry and bench joinery, including measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling timber components. You’ll also build a strong understanding of tools, materials, health and safety practices, and effective communication in the workplace.
Whether you’re aiming to begin an apprenticeship, progress to further training, or step into your first job in the trade, this course provides a solid foundation to build your future on.
