This qualification is designed for learners who wish to gain an understanding of:
- The social housing sector,
- The principles of safeguarding and equality and diversity,
- Mental and physical ill health,
- Reasons for problematic behaviour,
- Issues affecting isolated tenants.
You will need to be:
- aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you wish to study
- be eligible to study in the UK, with 'in-date' evidence that shows that you will be resident in the UK for the duration of the course and not currently studying an apprenticeship programme
You will also need access to a computer (laptop or desktop), and a stable internet connection, to access our interactive online learning platform.
You will complete a series of assessments within a set time-frame which will be marked by a qualified assessor these will produce the relevant evidence to meet the requirements for the awarding body. On successful completion you will be awarded a nationally recognised level 2 qualification.
Possible outcomes:
- Successfully gaining permanent or temporary employment within the social care sector
- Further your professional development, additional course up to 3 level 2 course in an acedemic year.
As this course is undertaken by distance learning, there is no need to attend the college and you can study at a time that suits you. You will receive a set of comprehensive learning materials on your subject, and have access to a knowledgeable tutor and assessor who will support you throughout the programme.
