The UK is striving to become net-zero by 2050. Keep up with changes and on the right side of Government strategy, upskill yourself and launch a new stream of business opportunities, installing electrical vehicle charging points.
July 2022 saw over 520,000 battery-electric cars in the UK, the growth in this area is steady. The more cars, HGVs and buses on the road, the more electrical charging points will be necessary.
This course is for skilled electricians and desgned by employers and professional associations. Network with other electricians, learn and support each other and consider wider training with us to upskill you ready for new products and services related to reducing energy and waste.
You will need:
- Electrical - Level 3 qualification
- Work experience (if your qualification is more than 5 years old)
You will also have an interview with our course tutors at enrolment, so we can ensure the course is right for you.
Full engagement per week in class set projects, home study tasks and successful completion of end of course examination.

You will take part in classroom sessions where you will learn about the new requirements and legislation for the installtion of vehicle charging units. This is for domestic and small commercial vehicles. Other courses relating to largescale electrical vehicle charging and quality assurance of same will be made available in September 2023.
You will have the opportunity to discuss the subjects with your course tutor and peers, and receive full support to pass your end of course examination. You will also be offered an independent careers assessment to learn about the new skills required for installing energy efficient products such as Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pumps and receive a preferential rate to sign up to any new course with ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.
Adult Students (19+)
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August before your course starts, are resident in London, and have the legal right to stay in the UK for at least 12 months, you may be eligible to study for free, depending on your circumstances and chosen course. For more information, please click here.
